I’ve used several rice cookers over my life and, honestly, all are clones. This one is not different except for its size. It cooks rice perfectly and is easy to use, in the same way all do it. But it’s size is perfect for both of us (and probably up to 4 people), and wastes less space than larger cookers.I read some complaints in the comments about: 1. Rice not being cooked properly. You can control how much the rice is cooked just by putting the right amount of water: if you like it crispy pour the same amount of rice and water, if you like it better cooked use 1.5 parts of water per each of rice 2. Non-stick surface is not great. This is common in all rice cookers I’ve used so far. You can alleviate this by pouring a bit of oil to the water.

We are a family of four and this rice cooker does us just fine. I always had big ones and I now wonder why. Very simple and very cheap but does not take up too much space on the counter and has already produced many batches of rice, porridge and even did a pretty good mac and cheese. Very happy with my purchase.

Having eaten our body weight of rice in Thailand last year, we agreed that rice cooked in a rice cooker seemed to be the trick! I bought this for us as a little Christmas present. Not wanting to spend too much in case it wasn’t used often or as good as expected this fit the bill! It’s nice and compact so hides away in the cupboard easily when it’s not used but big enough that we get 4 portions of rice from it easily. It could not be easier to use.. just measure the rice and water as per the instructions and turn it on. My favourite thing about it is that the ‘warming’ function means that if the curry we’re making takes longer than expected, the rice doesn’t get ruined as it just sits there, perfectly cooked and keeping warm. We’re a household of 2 and it’s perfect but I’d recommend for families of 4 as long as the rice was as a side portion not the whole meal (serving wise). The only reason I’ve not given it the full 5 stars is because the rice does stick a little to the bottom of the pan. It comes off when washed easily enough but it does mean a little of the rice is wasted each time which is a shame.
