Great at cooking rice, always comes out well and doesn’t stick. Longer to cook than my old one but worth the wait.A note on the porridge setting – the scale on the side of the bowl is for making a rice porridge and if you use that it’s far too watery with oats.If you want oat porridge use 1/2 cup oats per person to 2 cups water or milk. Takes an hour but it’s the best porridge I’ve ever had and with the timer not an issue if you want it first thing in the morning.

The wife I thought I was mad spending this much on a rice cooker, but she’s eating her words now. She’s also eating extremely delicious and fluffy rice from the rice cooker.After having a few cheap rice cookers this is really the luxury experience. It tells you how many minutes are remaining before it’s cooked, it tells you how long it’s been keeping the rice warm and it can keep rice fresh, hot and tasty for over 12 hours! I think my favourite feature is the little musical tune it plays when the rice is ready.Using it is extremely fast and simple. You just put your rice in the removable bowl,fill it with water a couple of times to wash the rice then pour off the water to the desired cooking level (shown by markings on the inside of the bowl) then just add a dash of salt and press start and you’re done!The rice comes out perfect every time. Soft, but not too soft, fluffy but not too fluffy. Just amazing.There are settings for sticky rice, brown rice, sushi rice etc. Every type of rice comes out perfect. I could never get brown rice to come out nice, but with this you just dump it in there, add the water and press start and it cooks it perfectly.Cleaning the non-stick bowl is a breeze, just rinse it with a bit of water and a dish sponge.It’s a lot of money but if you eat a lot of rice I think it’s worth it.

The only rice cooker you’ll ever need for the rest of your life. This cooker makes some excellent rice and it ain’t an eyesore in the kitchen. It has a handle so you can take it to your friends house.
